Kodak VISION3 200T Super 8

Kodak VISION3 200T is a versatile Super 8 colour film that sits neatly between the bright-daylight 50D and faster low-light 500T.

Rated at EI 200 and balanced for tungsten light, it's particularly useful for interiors, controlled lighting and situations where the light can change throughout the day. Kodak designed it to give you the flexibility of a 200-speed film while keeping grain closer to what you'd expect from a slower stock.

There's plenty of latitude in the highlights and good detail through the shadows, making it a forgiving choice when you're working quickly or moving between different lighting conditions.

Each cartridge contains 50 feet / 15 metres of film, giving you around three minutes of footage depending on your shooting frame rate.

Best for

• Super 8 filmmaking
• Indoor shooting
• Controlled lighting
• Available light
• Mixed lighting conditions
• Travel films
• Portraits
• Music videos
• Short films
• Documentary work
• Filmmakers wanting a versatile middle-speed stock

What to expect

Expect fine grain, good shadow detail, plenty of highlight latitude and a balanced cinematic look.

VISION3 200T is balanced for 3200K tungsten light and rated at EI 200 under tungsten illumination. Kodak recommends an 85 filter and EI 125 when shooting under 5500K daylight if you want to maintain the intended colour balance.

It's a useful middle ground in Kodak's VISION3 Super 8 range. You get more speed than 50D without moving all the way to 500T, making 200T particularly versatile when conditions aren't completely predictable.
