Olympus µ[mju:] Zoom 140 VF

The Olympus Mju Zoom 140 VF is a lovely little reminder of when taking a camera everywhere was just part of everyday life.

Part of Olympus's much-loved Mju family, this compact 35mm film camera brings together an easy-to-use design, automatic focusing and a versatile zoom lens in a body that feels right at home in your bag.

The 38–140mm zoom gives you plenty of flexibility. Keep it wide for friends, travel and everyday moments, or zoom in a little closer for portraits and details that catch your eye.

There's no need to worry about manually focusing or setting your exposure. The camera takes care of those things for you, leaving you free to concentrate on what you're photographing.

The built-in flash is handy for evenings out and indoor photographs, while the sliding front cover helps protect the lens when you're carrying it around.

This example is photographed with an Olympus RC-200 remote control and wrist strap, making it an interesting little setup for anyone who enjoys classic Olympus cameras.

A great choice if you're looking for a straightforward film camera with a bit more reach than a fixed-lens point and shoot.

This is a vintage item, so please use the supplied photographs to assess its condition and check what is included before purchasing.

Best for

Everyday 35mm photography, holidays, casual portraits, nights out, beginners and anyone looking for a compact film camera with the flexibility of a zoom lens.

What to expect

The Mju Zoom 140 VF is designed to make shooting film simple.

Load a roll of 35mm film, frame your photograph through the viewfinder and press the shutter. The camera handles focusing, exposure and film advance automatically.

The zoom lens is useful when you want to change your framing without moving closer to your subject. At the longer end, you'll generally get the best results in good daylight or with suitable flash illumination.

Like most compact film cameras of its era, it relies on electronic controls and a battery. Its working condition should be confirmed before sale.

The RC-200 remote control shown in the photographs should also be checked for operation and confirmed as included.

We have 3 options, one is just the camera itself, one with a case, strap and remote and lastly all the above plus the box. - Batteries included.
