Kodak UltraMax 400

Kodak UltraMax 400 is a versatile 35mm colour film made for everyday shooting, especially when you don't know exactly what the light is going to do.

Its ISO 400 speed gives you plenty of flexibility, from sunny days and overcast afternoons to indoor photography with flash. It produces vivid colour, fine grain and good sharpness, while the extra speed makes it easier to photograph moving subjects or keep shooting as the light starts to drop.

UltraMax is an easy film to keep loaded in your camera for travel, street photography, family photos, weekends away or simply carrying a camera around every day.

If you want one colour film that can handle a bit of everything without having to think too much about it, UltraMax 400 is a solid place to start.

Best for

What to expect

Expect vivid colour, fine grain and good sharpness, with the added flexibility of ISO 400.

Compared with slower films such as Kodak Gold 200, UltraMax gives you more room to work when the light drops and makes it easier to use faster shutter speeds for moving subjects.

Kodak specifically highlights its improved low-light performance, extended flash range and ability to help reduce the effects of camera shake. That makes it a particularly useful general-purpose film when you're likely to encounter different conditions throughout the day.
