Kodak Power Flash 39 Exposure

The Kodak Power Flash is a simple disposable camera with 39 shots of ISO 800 colour film and a stronger built-in flash for when the light starts to disappear.

Everything's already loaded and ready to go. There's no focusing, exposure settings or film loading to think about. Wind the film on, frame your shot and press the shutter.

The ISO 800 film gives you plenty of flexibility for everyday shooting, while the Power Flash reaches up to around 4.5 metres, making it particularly handy for parties, nights out, weddings and indoor shots where a standard disposable flash can struggle.

And with 39 exposures, you've got a few more chances to get the shot before handing the camera over for developing.

Best for

• Parties
• Weddings
• Nights out
• Festivals
• Holidays and travel
• Indoor photography
• Low-light situations
• Events
• First-time film shooters
• Anyone wanting a simple camera with plenty of shots

What to expect

Expect classic disposable-camera photos, plenty of grain and a little more flexibility in lower light thanks to the ISO 800 film and stronger flash.

The camera uses a fixed-focus lens, so there's no autofocus or manual focusing to worry about. Keep your subject roughly 1 metre or further away, and let the camera do the rest.

The Power Flash is the main point of difference here. Kodak specifies a range of approximately 1.2 to 4.5 metres, compared with the standard FunSaver flash range of around 1.2 to 3.5 metres.

Developing

Standard C-41 colour film processing.

Once you've finished all 39 exposures, bring the whole camera in for processing. The colour negative film inside is removed from the camera and developed using standard C-41 chemistry.

The negatives can then be scanned so you've got digital copies ready to save, share and print.
