Kodak PIXPRO C1 (needs tan & brown)

The Kodak PIXPRO C1 is a small, simple digital camera designed for everyday photos without all the extras getting in the way.

It pairs a 13MP sensor with a wide 26mm-equivalent f/2 lens, making it a good little carry-around camera for friends, travel, nights out and everyday snapshots. The lens is fixed, so there's no optical zoom to worry about. Just frame the shot and go.

The 2.8-inch screen flips upward 180°, which is particularly handy for selfies, group photos and video, while the built-in rechargeable battery means there's no need to carry spare AAs.

It'll also shoot Full HD video up to 60 fps, and at just 115g it's genuinely small enough to keep with you rather than leaving it at home.

What to expect

The C1 is about simplicity and portability rather than loads of controls or a big zoom lens.

Its fixed 26mm-equivalent f/2 lens gives you a fairly wide view that's useful for everyday scenes, groups and travel. It can focus as close as approximately 8cm in macro mode, while optical image stabilisation helps reduce camera shake.

The standout feature is probably the 180° tilting rear screen. Flip it forward and you can actually see your framing when taking selfies or recording yourself, without making the camera much bigger or more complicated.

Developing

No developing required.

Photos are recorded as JPEG files and video as MOV files to a microSD or microSDHC card.

Kodak specifies Class 10 or faster cards up to 32GB. There is no internal storage, so you'll need a compatible memory card before shooting.

The built-in battery charges in-camera via USB-C, with Kodak quoting approximately 200 photos per charge or around 90 minutes of 1080p/30 video.
