Kodak FunSaver

The Kodak FunSaver keeps film photography about as simple as it gets. It's pre-loaded with 27 exposures of ISO 800 Kodak colour film, so there's no film to load, settings to work out or batteries to worry about before you start shooting.

The faster ISO 800 film makes it flexible enough for everyday shooting across changing light, while the built-in flash gives you extra help indoors, at parties or once the light starts to drop.

Just wind on, frame your shot and press the shutter. When you're using the flash, charge it before taking the photo. Kodak rates the flash for subjects approximately 1.2 to 3.5 metres away.

It's an easy option for holidays, parties, festivals, weddings, weekends away or simply trying film without buying a camera first.

Once you've finished all 27 exposures, bring the whole camera in for developing rather than opening it yourself.

What to expect

The FunSaver is designed to be simple rather than precise. There are no exposure settings or focusing controls to think about, which is part of the appeal.

Kodak loads it with ISO 800 film, giving it more flexibility across different lighting conditions than a slower daylight film. Kodak recommends the FunSaver for outdoor, indoor and daylight use.

In good daylight, you can simply point and shoot. Indoors or in lower light, use the built-in flash and keep your subject within roughly 1.2 to 3.5m. Remember that the flash needs to be charged before each flash photograph.

The fixed-focus lens is designed to keep subjects from approximately 1m through to infinity in focus.

Developing

Once you've finished all 27 exposures, bring the complete camera in for developing. The film is removed from the disposable camera during processing.
