Format
Kodak Professional EKTAR 100 35mm
Kodak Professional EKTAR 100 is a fine-grain colour negative film made for sharp, detailed images with rich, saturated colour.
At ISO 100, it is a slower film than something like Kodak Gold 200 or Portra 400, making it particularly well suited to bright daylight and controlled lighting. In return, you get exceptionally fine grain, high sharpness and excellent detail from a 35mm negative.
EKTAR 100 has a noticeably vivid colour character, making it a great fit for landscapes, travel, nature, fashion and product photography. It is also particularly good for scanning, where its fine grain and high resolving power allow you to get plenty of detail from the negative.
It's a good choice when you want your images to feel crisp, colourful and detailed rather than soft or muted.
Best for
Daylight photography, landscapes, travel, nature, architecture, fashion, product photography and detailed subjects.
What to expect
36 exposures at ISO 100.
EKTAR 100 produces very fine grain with strong sharpness and vivid colour. Because it is ISO 100, it benefits from plenty of available light, particularly outdoors during the day.
It is also a particularly strong choice if you're planning to scan your negatives, with Kodak specifically highlighting its enlargement and scanning capabilities.
Developing
C-41 colour negative processing.
EKTAR 100 should be processed using the standard C-41 colour negative process. Kodak's technical documentation specifies C-41 processing using KODAK FLEXICOLOR chemistry.
