Kodak EC35

The Kodak EC35 is a cheerful little 35mm film camera that keeps photography exactly where it should be: simple, fun and about the moment.

With its bright yellow body, fixed 25mm lens and built-in flash, it's made for everyday adventures, weekends away, parties and those moments you'd rather remember on film.

There are no complicated settings to figure out. Just load a roll of 35mm film, frame your shot through the viewfinder and press the shutter. The sliding cover keeps the lens protected when you're not shooting, making it an easy camera to throw in your bag and take along for the day.

Unlike a disposable camera, the EC35 can be reloaded with another roll when you've finished the first. A good introduction to shooting film, or simply a fun addition to your camera collection.

Best for

First-time film photographers, holidays, parties, everyday snapshots and anyone who wants an easy, affordable way to enjoy 35mm photography.

What to expect

The EC35 is designed to be straightforward rather than technical.

Its fixed 25mm lens gives you a wide view that's handy for group photos, travel and everyday scenes. The built-in flash helps when there's not enough natural light, while the manual film advance lets you take your time between frames.

It's a simple camera with a fixed-focus lens, so you won't get the precision or control of a more advanced film camera. That's part of the appeal. Load it, shoot it and enjoy the surprise when your photographs come back.

Developing

The Kodak EC35 uses standard 35mm film.

Colour negative film is typically developed using the C-41 process, while black and white film requires its appropriate developing process.

Once you've finished your roll, rewind it into the cassette before opening the camera. You can then have the film developed and scanned to see your photographs.
