Ilford FP4 Plus 125
Ilford FP4 Plus 125 is a classic medium speed black and white film known for its exceptionally fine grain, strong detail and smooth tonal reproduction.
At ISO 125, it sits in a useful middle ground for everyday shooting. It works particularly well in daylight and controlled indoor conditions, giving you plenty of detail without needing the higher speeds of films such as HP5 or Delta 3200.
It is also a very forgiving film. Ilford recommends metering it at EI 125, but good image quality can be achieved between EI 50 and EI 200. Ilford also notes that FP4 Plus can produce usable results when significantly overexposed or underexposed, which makes it a practical choice when you're still getting comfortable with shooting film.
For photographers who want a clean, detailed negative, FP4 Plus is a great all rounder. It suits everything from everyday photography and portraits through to landscapes, architecture and more considered fine art work.
