Kodak Charmera Keychain - Blind Box

The Kodak Charmera is a tiny digital camera that actually works, packed into something small enough to hang from your keys.

Inspired by Kodak's retro camera designs, each Charmera comes in a blind box with one of seven possible designs, so you won't know which one you've got until you open it.

The camera itself keeps things deliberately simple. It shoots 1.6MP lo-fi digital photos, records video and includes four frames and seven built-in filters for playing around with the look of your images. There's even a tiny screen on the back for framing shots and checking what you've captured.

It's not trying to replace your phone or a proper compact camera. That's really the point. It's small, slightly unpredictable and easy to keep with you, making it a fun little camera for everyday snapshots, nights out and anything you wouldn't normally bother carrying a camera for.

Best for

• Lo-fi digital photography
• Everyday snapshots
• Nights out
• Travel
• Street photography
• Gifts
• Kodak fans
• Camera collectors
• Blind box collectors
• Anyone who wants a camera they can genuinely keep on their keys

What to expect

Expect small, low-resolution digital photos with plenty of character, rather than technically perfect images.

The Charmera captures 1440 × 1080 JPEGs from a 1.6MP sensor, so the lo-fi look isn't a filter pretending to be an old digital camera. It's coming from a genuinely tiny digital camera.

There are seven filters, including black and white, warm and cool tones and several pixel-style colour filters, plus four frames.

There's also a collectible element. Each camera comes sealed as a blind box, with one of seven designs selected at random. The standard set consists of six designs, with a secret edition appearing at a reported rate of 1 in 48.

Developing

No developing required.

Photos are saved as JPEG files and video as AVI files to a microSD card.

The camera supports 1GB to 128GB microSD cards, which are sold separately. Files can be transferred using the USB-C connection.
