The Canon EOS Rebel G is a wonderfully approachable 35mm film camera, and this one comes paired with a Tamron 28–200mm zoom lens that gives you plenty of room to explore.

What to expect

The Canon EOS Rebel G combines the familiar experience of shooting film with the convenience of autofocus and automatic exposure.

The included Tamron 28–200mm lens covers a broad range of subjects, making it a practical option when you don't want to carry multiple lenses.

The camera uses standard 35mm film, producing full-frame 24 × 36mm negatives.

Unlike a digital camera, there is no instant image preview. Each photograph is recorded onto film and needs to be developed before you can see the results.

The camera requires two CR123A batteries to operate.

The supplied photographs show a Tamron lens cap and Canon-branded strap, while a Bower CL filter has been specified for this kit.

Developing

The Canon EOS Rebel G uses standard 35mm photographic film.

Colour negative film is processed using C-41 chemistry, traditional black and white film requires black and white development, and compatible slide film uses E-6 processing.

Once developed, the negatives can be scanned into digital images or printed.
