AgfaPhoto Realishot WP9500 Waterproof Digital

The AgfaPhoto Realishot WP9500 is a little digital camera made for the kind of days when you'd rather be in the water than worrying about your gear.

With a waterproof rating of up to 7 metres, it's ready for the pool, beach holidays and a bit of underwater exploring. Its bright orange body is easy to spot, while the compact design makes it a handy camera to bring along without taking up much room.

You get 24MP photo resolution, 4K video and autofocus, plus two screens. The larger rear display is there for everyday shooting, while the smaller front screen makes it easier to frame yourself when you're in front of the lens.

It's not trying to replace a professional underwater camera setup. It's something much simpler: a fun, practical way to capture the bits of a holiday that your everyday camera might not be suited to.

Best for

Beach holidays, swimming pools, snorkelling in shallow water, travel, family adventures and anyone looking for a straightforward waterproof digital camera.

What to expect

The WP9500 is designed to make everyday photography easy, particularly around water.

The dual-screen setup is handy for switching between regular photographs and selfies, while the built-in flash helps when the light isn't quite right.

The 18× zoom is digital rather than optical, so image quality can decrease as you zoom further in. For the best results, it's worth getting closer to your subject where possible.

The camera is rated waterproof to 7 metres, provided all covers and seals are correctly secured. It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions before taking it underwater, including checking the seals and rinsing it appropriately after saltwater use.
