Achiever 300DX Flash for Pentax

The Achiever 300DX is a vintage electronic flash made for Pentax Program-era film cameras.

It’s a straightforward little unit with automatic flash control, a Ready/Test button and a working range marked directly on the body from 0.8 to 5 metres.

If you’re putting together a Pentax film setup and want something from the same era rather than a modern flash hanging off the top, the 300DX makes a lot of sense. It’s compact, simple and designed specifically around Pentax cameras of the period.

This is a vintage item, so please use the supplied photographs to assess its condition and check what is included before purchasing.

Best for

Pentax 35mm film cameras, vintage camera kits, everyday flash photography and photographers wanting a period-appropriate Pentax-compatible flash.

What to expect

A simple vintage flash rather than the features of a modern speedlight. The controls are refreshingly basic, with on/off and Ready/Test controls plus automatic flash operation.

Because this is an older electronic flash, we would not describe it as compatible with modern Pentax digital cameras.
